Reflection - Personal Focus

Personal focus, as described in the lesson, means that we create certain emotions that we bring into ourselves based solely on what we are thinking about or how we are thinking about it.  With this in mind:

When I was a child, I remember mundane, small activities that I enjoyed because they were just things that made me feel content.  What is an example or two of those activities?

What feelings does this memory bring up for you? Are there activities that you do today that elicit the same feelings?

As I consider this lesson’s focus on how we take our initial emotion (like fear for example), and quickly make that reaction ‘not favorable’ we turn it into something else (like anger). How did this lesson resonate for me?

When is a time in my life when I’ve done that?

And in this example, as soon as I recognized I wasn’t feeling 100% myself, I found myself acting protective or even “faking it”, true or false?

I don’t like when other people fake it, and I can sense them from a mile away, but I think I am pretty good at faking it, yes or no?

I am capable of going through this lesson and observing my own thoughts and feelings, WITHOUT JUDGING myself, yes or no? (The answer is YES! YES I CAN!!)

Am I spending a lot of time in self-evaluation or constantly trying to redo conversations or situations in my mind?  (This is a common response to being in our actor self.)

It is easier for me to see other people’s patterns more than my own sometimes.  Who is someone that I notice his or her patterns easily?  What is it about them that I notice, and why do I think it’s easier for me to see them instead of me?
